So you know how you go to sleep and you wake up and hours have passed but it seems like minutes?
That's what happened to the second half of 2008.

In the original version of the Rip van Winkel tale, he awoke from a falling dream to find himself actually plunging towards the earth, as a result of a rather cruel prank played on his slumbering form. Not so cruel as to murder him, though, the perpetrators had provided a parachute, which is how the rip-cord gets its name.
